Step back into the 1920s for a night of silent film, live music and a little competition. Dress in your finest vintage style and join organist Christopher Hainsworth for two cinema classics, accompanied live on the Mighty Wurlitzer.
Charlie Chaplin’s Payday (1922) delivers a masterclass in slapstick, with Chaplin’s Little Tramp battling workplace chaos and domestic woes in a riot of physical comedy.
Buster Keaton’s The General (1926) is widely regarded as one of the greatest silent comedies ever made. This action-packed classic combines death-defying stunts, spectacular train sequences and Keaton’s trademark deadpan humour.
Film buffs will be put to the test with Chris’ popular film quiz; a chance to show off some movie know-how and compete with fellow cinephiles for a range of great prizes, including best dressed.
